ShepTrans Transfer Case rebuilds are offered to those who send in a good core. In other words, a rebuildable transfer case that does not require a new ring & pinion set.
Your Transfer Case will be completely disassembled, cleaned, & inspected for possible wear or damage. Once verified that all parts meet our specs, we will assemble your transfer case with the following:
- 8mm to 10mm bolt upgrade
- New seals and o-rings
- Proper shim adjustment
- Neodymium magnet
- ACD bearing (when applicable)

Upgraded Transfer Cases
ShepTrans now offers 3 different Ring & Pinion sets depending on your vehicle's needs. Each rebuild includes the 8-10mm bolt upgrade, using OEM quality flanged bolts, not those cheap hardware store type bolts we've seen in other rebuilds. Each bolt upgrade is done using a jig and a vertical mill, to ensure quality and accuracy.

A complete rebuild using OEM Ring & Pinion gears and new OEM pinion bearings. This rebuild is perfect for the daily driven street car and can handle a good amount of power.

A complete rebuild using an Upgraded Ring & Pinion set. Much stronger than stock, this is the gear set we have used to build our reputation as the leader in Evo Transfer Case rebuilds. Ideal for street/strip use, these gears offer quiet operation and increased longevity.

Our Top Dog!
A complete rebuild using a Billet high-alloy proprietary grade steel Ring & Pinion set. This "custom gear set" is intended for use in high horsepower cars, and is perfect for Drag Racing and anti-lag style launch applications. This Ring & Pinion also features:
- CAD engineered Klinglnberg Palloid tooth profiles
- No reduction in tooth width along the gear
- Robotic CMM scanned for tooth profile perfection
- Computer controlled heat treatment
- Anti-fatigue shot peening treatment

Inbound Shipping
|
Sheptrans can send you out boxes and have them picked up for you. This way, your transfer case will reach us without the usual shipping damage that normally occurs with an improperly packed transfer case. This includes our shipping box, a ground call pickup and the shipping to us. After your transfer case is completed, the return shipping will be $50.

new transfer case also includes a Mitsubishi Rally Sport limited
slip differential.

Stage 3 |
For those wanting more traction and improved reliability we take
a factory new transfer case and install a Quaife limited slip
differential and reshim the transfer case. We feel the Quaife is
the strongest available helical LSD for the EVO. On this upgrade
we also upgrade the front differential cover bolts from 8mm to
10mm bolts and now add Heli-Coils to prevent side cover
deflection and bolt pullout which allows a poor contact patch
and failure of the ring and pinion.
