Ordering & Shipment
Ordering
Orders may be placed Monday through Fridays, 9-6 EST. On-Line
orders can be placed anytime. We try to view our incoming mail
several times a day and often throughout the weekends.

Shipping
All shipments will be sent by Fed Ex whenever possible. We
cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes. We must have a physical street
address. If your credit card billing address is a PO box, you
will need to add your street address to your credit card as an
alternate/secondary address.
International Shipments
Orders must be prepaid in U.S. funds. Call, write, or Fax in
advance to obtain the total cost of the order and shipping. All
duties/import fees/border fees are the sole responsibility of
the customer. This includes Canadian customers. A street address
and phone # is required.
Returns
All returns must be pre-approved by Sheptrans. The parts will be
inspected by Sheptrans and if in satisfactory condition, we will
issue a credit. A 20% restocking charge will be charged on all
returns due to customer error or any problems not caused by
Sheptrans. Absolutely no returns on custom built or special
ordered items.
Refused Shipments
The customer is responsible for freight (both ways) on any
shipment refused for any reason. No future orders will be
processed until the customers account has been cleared. Future
orders must be prepaid in full.
Cancellations
Any canceled orders will be charged to the customer at the cost
incurred by Sheptrans at the time of cancellation.
Returned Shipments
Any returned items that were not deliverable due to 3
unsuccessful attempts, must have shipping paid both ways by the
customer before any future orders will be processed for the
customer.
Sales Tax
Ohio residents will be charged 6.0% sales tax on all purchases.
Backorders
Will be shipped as soon as possible. If you would like a refund
instead of waiting, please let us know.
Warranty
Parts cannot be warranted beyond the warranty of the
manufacturer, when not manufactured by Sheptrans. Any products
found to be defective in workmanship or materials will be
repaired, exchanged, or replaced at the sole option of
Sheptrans, after inspection and approval. Sheptrans is liable
for only the cost of the part(s) supplied, not for any
additional expenses incurred such as labor, lost time, or other
parts damaged.
Damage Claims
The carrier is responsible for delivering merchandise in
satisfactory condition. All deliveries should be inspected, any
damage pointed out to the carrier, and call us immediately.
Sheptrans cannot replace merchandise damaged in shipping if you
do not call us and keep all packing materials.
Shipment Inspection
Please inspect your shipment immediately upon receipt. If there
is an error, please notify us immediately.
Prices
All prices are subject to change without notice.In the event
a part is listed at an incorrect price due to typographical,
photographic, or technical error or error in pricing information
received from our suppliers, the Sheptrans shall have the right
to refuse or cancel any orders placed for the parts listed at
the incorrect price.
Order Status and Tracking Numbers
Please DO NOT call and ask us for tracking numbers, especially
right after you've placed your order. We cannot give out
tracking numbers because some people try to change the address
we've shipped to which a) costs us $7.50, and b) can circumvent
the safety measures we've taken to make sure we've shipped to
the billing address on your credit card. This is a big enough
problem that both our credit card processor and UPS/ Fed Ex have
warned us not to give tracking numbers out. IF you feel your
package is late please e-mail us and we will track the package
for you.

Again, to those honest customers out there that just want to
have fun internet tracking (although Ground packages are often
scanned only once when they leave) their package across the
country, we're sorry.
Explanation Of Shipping Charges
On small orders we normally get the order ready, weigh the
package then bill the actual shipping. This is quite hard to do
on a telephone order. We therefore make an educated guess and
correct it when we have all the information ready. On our larger
orders such as transmissions and transfer case we have specific
boxes that are designed to eliminate almost any chance they will
be damaged. These boxes come at a high price and we do take a
loss on each box we ship out. For example our transmission box
uses approx $15 worth of foam and $12 for the inner and outer
box. We also use special liner which is a few dollars per box.
On top of all this we have staples, tape, packing pouches and
labor involved. We charge a flat $115 shipping with this box.
Some far states end up costing us $100-$105 which leaves the box
costing us $15-$20 not including packing labor.
